Tatting Bookmark Pattern
The Tatted Bookmark

My picots were huge! Especially my link or join picots. The thread I used was from a thrift shop (thread that was not even being produced anymore.) Back then I had to be frugal and a lot of my early tatting was made with antique or thrift shop threads.
I published a tatting newsletter called TATtle TALES. This is when I called the double knot a double stitch or DS.  It is a misnomer to call the knot a stitch. Tatters knot!
My manual typewriter did not have a plus key so I wrote out where to join. Because the newsletter was photocopied it was in black and white. Those sure were the old days!
